Where it is recycled

In 2009 Somerset Waste Partnership
became the first local authority organisation to publish comprehensive details of what happens to your recycling once it has been collected. It shows that 99% of materials collected for recycling are recycled and that over 90% is recycled here in the UK.

For a copy of the End Use Register click here (PDF).

The End Use Register is now being adopted by other councils in the UK and has inspired a Private Members Bill which, if passed into law, would require local authorities to publish the same information.
